 JoLe is a Contemporary American Restaurant owned and operated by husband-and-wife team Matt and Sonjia Spector, chef and pastry chef, respectively. JoLe is the couple’s second restaurant venture. The first was the wildly successful, Matyson Restaurant in Philadelphia. "After four wonderful years at Matyson, we were eager for our next challenge, and Northern California was calling. We sold the restaurant, packed up the kids, and headed west." "We happily landed in the quaint wine and spa town of Calistoga, enjoying the bounty of ingredients that the area has to offer." Matt and Sonjia use organic, locally farmed ingredients as much as possible. The wine list is eclectic and ever-evolving, consisting of many of the area's boutique producers. Cocktails focus on the classics, made with small batch, top shelf liquors.

The Calistoga Inn boasts a 250-seat outdoor dining patio stretching along the right bank of the Napa River, a 110-seat indoor dining facility, a rustic pub with full bar reminiscent of the early days of Calistoga and a modern micro-brewery nestled in the original water tower of the property. The chefs of the Calistoga Inn cook over a wood-fired grill. House specialties include wood grilled meats, fish, and vegetarian items prepared in the popular California style and complimented with garlic mashed potatoes and savory pan sauces. We also serve a variety of pastas. In addition to good food and great beer, the Calistoga Inn has over 100 wines on its wine list.
Bring a jacket and an appetite. The tri-tip sirloin steak sandwich is what you've come for--hick slabs of beef piled on garlic toast. A ladle of sauce goes over the top, hot or mild. But be warned that hot is exactly that. Hot. Don't try to be a hero unless you really like the fire. My take: This sauce hails well south of sweet Kansas City style, but with a similar heft and tomato tang.
