Azalea Springs Vineyards

Azalea Springs VineyardsNorah and Norman Stone own Azalea Springs, a lovely hillside vineyard where they grow and produce Cabernet Sauvignon under the label "AZS". This precious soil is a family-owned property, a crown jewel encircled in evergreen trees on the foothills of Napa Valley's Diamond Mountain. The wines reflect the unique wine-growing environment of this world famous region. The deep, dark flavors are a direct result of perfect growing conditions for these two noble grapes. The volcanic soil, excellent sun exposure, and controlled irrigation from these ancient springs all combine to achieve the ultimate in concentrated richness on this tiny gem of a property.

Castello di Amorosa Winery

Castello di Amorosa WineryCastello di Amorosa produces primarily Italian style wines while reflecting California's unique climate, soil and growing conditions. All our red grapes are grown in the Napa Valley around the Castle. White grapes are grown in the Carneros district of the Napa Valley or in the Anderson Valley, as both of these cool areas are ideal for white wine grapes. Some grapes are also purchased from select growers. Brooks Painter, a veteran winemaker of more than 30 years, presides over all winemaking production. His goal is to make delicious, classically structured, intensely flavored, well-balanced, elegant wines which showcase the "Terroir" of each unique vineyard site. In this way we can experience the flavor and aromas of the vineyard itself. We are committed to using traditional approaches to the craft of winegrowing and winemaking, but also incorporate modern techniques and equipment when it improves quality.

Diamond Creek Vineyards

Diamond Creek VineyardsFounded in 1968, Diamond Creek is California's first exclusively Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Vineyard. Visionary pioneer Al Brounstein defied modern conventions and planted Bordeaux varietals on secluded Diamond Mountain. The three vineyards produce a small amount of long-lived wines that are elegant with great depth and richness, honored and cherished by connoisseurs the world over.

Diamond Terrace

Diamond TerraceDiamond Terrace is the result of a dream that started in 1988 when Maureen’s parents purchased a 10-acre vineyard on Howell Mountain as a second home that they called “Eagle Summit.” We visited them there often and dreamed about raising our family in the Napa Valley. We realized that dream in 1998 when we purchased a 16-acre parcel, with a 5-acre Cabernet vineyard on Diamond Mountain, just south of the town of Calistoga. After establishing the Diamond Terrace label and producing 6 vintages of Diamond Mountain Cabernet we felt ready to add another wine to our portfolio. In 2005 we brought our dream full circle by producing a Howell Mountain Cabernet from the Eagle Summit vineyard, now owned by Maureen and her brothers.

Dyer Vineyard

Dyer VineyardOur project has a singular focus. We make just one wine, a Cabernet Sauvignon blend, from our own vineyard located in the Diamond Mountain District, in the Mayacamas Range that defines the western edge of the Napa Valley. This is Cabernet country, where volcanic deposits encourage deep-rooted vines producing wines known for their concentration, intensity, and ageability.

Graeser Winery

Graeser WineryThe Graeser Winery, on Petrified Forest Road high above Calistoga and the valley floor, is nothing less than a hidden treasure. Named "La Perlita del Monte" in 1886 by its founder and original owner, Dr Richard Beverly Cole, the winery truly is a little pearl of the mountain and certainly well worth the extra effort required to get there. While winding up the wooded driveway off Petrified Forest Road, visitors to Graeser Winery might feel as if they are moving 130 years back through time. The house, the barns, and other outbuildings were built in 1888, and in an atmosphere so evocative of the past, visitors must remind themselves that Graeser Winery is very much a part of the 21st century.

Reverie on Diamond Mountain

Reverie on Diamond MountainReverie Winery specializes in producing ultra premium Bordeaux varietal blends that reflect the uniqueness of its terroir. The vineyard was principally planted in 1989 on St. George rootstock to Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc and currently consists of Cabernet Sauvignon (2 clones on 14 acres); Cabernet Franc (6 acres); Merlot (2 clones on 6 acres) and small amounts of Petit Verdot, Malbec, Barbera, Tempranillo, Grenache and Roussanne.

Schramsberg Vineyards

Schramsberg VineyardsIn 1826, in the small town of Pheddersheim Germany, along the Rhine River, Jacob Schram was born. He came from a winemaking family. When he was sixteen the young Schram immigrated to New York. He was educated in the trade of barbering, and, in 1852, sailed across the Caribbean, crossed-over the Panama Isthmus, and continued up to San Francisco. He spent the next several years barbering, eventually moving his way north, to the Napa Valley.

Teachworth

TeachworthWalter and Joan Teachworth moved to the Napa Valley with their children, Chris and Laura, in 1991. The couple was looking for a slower, healthier way of living for their family. The Napa Valley was an obvious choice, with its clean air, beautiful landscapes, and a Northern California lifestyle based on healthy cuisine and fitness. Not intending to become vintners, they meant to drink the wines already being made in this world famous wine region.

Von Strasser Winery

Von Strasser WineryWith a family connection to Eric de Rothschild, Rudy wrote a letter asking to do an internship at Chateau Lafite-Rothschild. Each year the Chateau had been hiring an intern from the French winemaking program at Montpellier. Thinking that two minds are better than one, Mr. Rothschild invited Rudy to work for the 1985 harvest as their first American intern. (The result was so successful, that each year since the Chateau has chosen a new Davis graduate to work as an intern at the winery.) Rudy returned to Napa Valley in the spring of 1986 and was hired as the enologist at Trefethen Winery and Vineyards. In 1988, he became the assistant winemaker in charge of production at Newton Vineyards in St. Helena.
