Crane
Family Vineyards - Nestled on the instep of Napa's
Mount Veeder, our Don Raffaele Estate was named for my late
father, who introduced me to the art of winemaking many years
ago. As a gentleman farmer, I have grown grapes and made wine
on this hillside estate for almost fifteen years, first as
an amateur and presently as a professional vintner. The microclimate
of our small valley is one of the best kept secrets in the
Napa Valley. Its terroir is similar to esteemed vineyards
of the Pomerol region of Bordeaux and imparts intense and
unique flavors to the grapes grown here. It has been our great
pleasure over the years to share with our family, friends
and club members, the best that we can take from the land
that is in our stewardship.

Bighorn
Cellars was founded by Bill Hill to combine his
two ambitions -- developing ultra premium vineyard sites and
handcrafting limited quantities of exceptional wines from
the regions where they grow best. Bighorn's mission is to
produce wines from exceptional vineyards in the best growing
regions for each varietal. For example, we make Cabernet Sauvignon
and Merlot from Napa Valley, Chardonnay from Carneros and
Pinot Noir from Sonoma Coast and Willamette Valley, Oregon.
Bill Hill's extensive experience developing 'Grand Cru' vineyards
in many different geographies makes this unique multi-regional
approach possible. Look for additional releases in new regions
in the near future.

Ancien
Wines are made by Ken and Teresa Bernards. Their
combined experience is moving into its 3rd decade, having
made acclaimed wines for other producers prior to focusing
on their own label, Ancien. They possess a passion for the
Burgundian varietals, Pinot noir and Chardonnay, with an emphasis
on capturing the essence of terroir. Ken continues to expand
his range of experience as a consulting winemaker for wineries
in California and in Chile.

Altamura
Vineyards and Winery, established in 1985 by
Frank and Karen Altamura, is the only winery located in Wooden
Valley. Stag's Leap Winery, Pahlmeyer and Caymus purchase
grapes from this area, which is within the Napa Valley appellation,
yet Altamura is the first to capture Wooden Valley's special
characteristics in a bottling. Napa Valley natives Frank and
Karen have a decidedly hands-on approach to every step of
the growing and winemaking process. Thus, a natural production
limit is established and the wines reflect the Altamura's
deep commitment to reflecting the terroir of their Wooden
Valley Ranch.

Arns
Winery is located on the hillside east of the
historic city of St. Helena, CA, in the heart of the Napa
Valley. The 160 acre parcel sits at an elevation of 800 feet
above the valley floor and below the Howell Mountain Appellation.
The soil for the nine acre all-Cabernet vineyard is Red Aiken
Loam, which was planted in the mid-to-late 1960's. This parcel
has a history of grape growing going back into the 1800's.
Our wines represent selections from nine different blocks,
with clones from Bordeaux and Napa Valley (and one of unsure
origins). These vineyard blocks consist of up to 2,900 vines
per acre with a vertical shoot positioned trellis. At the
present, there is some planting and replanting going on, and
in the future our goal of 2,000 cases should be realized.

character with big, bold tannins, and deep, concentrated color.
The Mountain Cabernet Series includes five wines sourced from
four of the finest mountain appellations in Napa: Atlas Peak,

the smallest, yet most renowned, wine growing regions in Napa
Valley. Here, Silverado Vineyards has been quietly producing
world-class wines from their state-of-the-art winery for over
20 years. With grapes sourced almost entirely from Silverado’s
family-owned estate vineyards, these hand-crafted wines are
created in small lots with extreme care. They express richness,
elegance and age-worthiness. Silverado wines are unique –
one-of-a-kind blends of location, philosophy and winemaking
style. The Mediterranean-style stone winery, established in
1981, stands on a knoll above the Silverado Trail in the heart
of the Stags Leap District. Silverado is a legendary name
from the early mining days. Today it symbolizes the Miller
family’s long term commitment to the future of Napa

Rocking
Horse is a small quality producer of Napa Valley
Ultra Premium red wines. When established in 1989, production
was limited to 600 cases. Born from the desire to produce
the absolute best wines from legendary growing regions, Jeff
and Nancy Doran began their quest moving quietly from a backyard
bottling line to their current 8,000 case production level.
Extreme care is taken to marry the proper vineyard site and
appellation with the appropriate varietals. Trademark wines
are typically “made in the vineyard” and picked
at optimum ripeness to ensure a silky full mouth feel and
dark crimson purple hue. Each wine is true to its varietal
character and offers many layers of complexity. Properly aged
wines will be rewarded by cellaring.

Rocca
Family Vineyards - The land gently slopes westward
towards the Napa River. The soils are a well-drained melange
of alluvial, sedimentary and volcanic soils. Just to the north,
a knoll that was formed as a terminal moraine in Napa Valley’s
ancient glacial past towers above the vineyard. The vineyard
is poised between the warmer upvalley climes and the cooling
maritime influence of the San Francisco Bay to the south,
so temperatures during the long growing season are warm enough
to produce perfectly ripe and flavorful fruit, and cool enough
to ensure finesse and balance. Our second vineyard, purchased
in 2000, the Hearthstone Vineyard, (named for the landmark
stone chimney at the top of the hill, last remnant of a former
homestead) is a nine-acre parcel in the Coombsville area of
Napa. The property is a southeast-facing hillside with shallow,
rocky and well-drained soil.

Andretti
Winery was established in 1996 and takes its
inspiration from the distinguished career of its namesake
and founder, Mario Andretti, widely regarded as the greatest
race car driver of all time. When Mario retired after nearly
five decades of competition, a commemorative wine was produced
in his honor in 1994. That event sparked an interest in owning
a winery. To accomplish this goal he teamed up with his former
associate, Joseph E. Antonini, who as President, Chairman
and CEO of Kmart, was one of Mario's major sponsors. Together
they formed Andretti Wine Group (AWG Limited), a publicly
traded stock company, to acquire property and build Andretti
Winery, with Joe serving as Chairman and Mario as Vice Chairman.

Artesa
is Napa's newest, most exciting winery. Our architecturally-acclaimed
facility opened as Codorniu Napa in 1991, dedicated solely
to méthode champenoise sparkling wine production. But
in 1997, with the arrival of a world-class winemaker and a
$10 million conversion, the winery shifted focus dramatically.
Artesa was born with the inaugural release of ultra-premium
still wines in September 1999.
