Brix
Restaurant - Framed by the Napa Hills and nestled among
vines at the gateway to the Valley, BRIX restaurant offers diners
the quintessential wine country experience. Almost every seat in the
casually elegant dining room offers a panoramic view of the restaurant’s
olive groves, sweeping vineyards and gardens brimming with seasonal
flowers, herbs and vegetables. In addition to the breath-taking scenery,
diners can watch from their seats as the culinary team artfully prepares
fresh, fare straight from the garden in the expansive exhibition kitchen
that runs the length and breadth of the room.

Mustards
- Mustards Grille is Cindy Pawslyn's first restaurant.
It has received the tender loving care (and lack of sleep) that
parents bestow on their first child. She still works hard to maintain
its youthful zest. Surrounded by vineyards, this cozy country grill
has warmth and character that appeals to both locals and visitors.

Wineries

Rudd
winery
was established in 1996, when Leslie Rudd purchased the 54-acre estate
in Oakville. Since the purchase, Mr. Rudd has made extensive renovations
to the property, to include a complete replanting of the vineyards
to close-spaced, red Bordeaux varietals and the expansion and renovation
of the winery, including custom-designed tanks and a gentle, gravity-flow
system. In addition, 22,000 square feet of caves have been dug below
the winery to provide ideal aging conditions. In April 2002, Charles
Thomas joined the Rudd team as Director of Vineyards & Winemaking.
Charles brings to Rudd over 25 years of winemaking and vineyard experience.
Along with the proprietary red wine from Oakville, Rudd will continue
to produce small quantities of Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc and Bacigalupi
Vineyard Chardonnay from the Russian River Valley
Groth Vinyards
- You might say this is a story of right time, right place. Dennis
and Judy Groth came very close to realizing a dream, buying a premium
vineyard in the heart of wine country. The vineyard had a reputation
for world class grapes, and at last moment...the deal feel through.
The vineyard was Les Pierres in Sonoma, known for its premium Chardonnay."The
moment that everything changed," recalls Dennis "was when
the phone rang and Napa realtor and grape farmer, Ren Harris, told
me I had to drive over the hill before I made any final decision.
Judy and I took his advice and we drove from Sonoma to Napa via the
Oakville grade. When we reached the top, we stopped and looked down
on spectacular sea of vineyards. Curiously the vineyard we bought
from Ren is one that we saw that moment, and every time we drive over
the grade we think of that day.
Vinoce is a
small family-owned winery owned by Brian and Lori Nuss. Over the last
16 years they have developed an intimate knowledge of growing Cabernet
Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc on the rugged, hillside slopes of Mount
Veeder and are dedicated to creating wines that reflect the true expression
of the Mount Veeder appellation.
