Follow
Napa Valley's Route 29 north to Calistoga, and then
keep going just 2 1/2 more miles. You'll arrive at
the pinnacle of the Napa Valley - the northernmost
wedge where the Vaca mountain range meets the Mayacamas
range. Here you will also find Bennett Lane Winery,
sitting snugly at the edge of its own well-maintained
Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard.Owners Randy and Lisa
Lynch purchased the property only four years ago,
but Bennett Lane is already making a splash in wine
country with its lush textured Cabernet Sauvignon
and a no-nonsense red wine varietal blend called Maximus,
composed of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah.Maximus
leads the way in Bennett Lane's quest to produce high
quality Napa Valley red wine. The 2002 Maximus was
named the Top Value Napa Valley Cabernet for the 2002
vintage by Wine Spectator's James Laube and the 2003
Maximus made a splash with a 90 Point rating from
the Wine Spectator. All three of Bennett Lane's 2003
Napa Valley red wine releases have scored 90+ points
from the Wine Spectator and are listed as some of
the Great California Cabernets in the magazines annual
Cabernet Issue. The 2003 Primus Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon
leads the pack with a score of 93 Points, one of the
top rated Napa Cabernets of the year in the publication.
At
Bennett Lane, we are blessed with a Napa Valley location
that yields the finest quality grapes. In the cellar
we make every effort to highlight this quality and
bring it to fruition in the bottle. We are committed
to minimal intervention and gentle handling, from
the harvest to bottling. In this way, our wines can
best express the essence of their terroir, or origin.
The goal is to create elegant wines that are also
rich in flavor.
 We
are reaching this goal each vintage, with award winning
Napa Valley red wine. Both the 2002 and 2003 vintage
of Maximus received a score of 90 Points in the Wine
Spectator and the 2002 Maximus was named the Top Value
Napa Valley Cabernet of the year by James Laube in
the same publication. Most recently, our 2003 Primus
Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon received a score of 93
Points in the Wine Spectator and the 2003 Bennett
Lane Napa Valley Cabernet scored 91 Points in the
same issue. All three 2003 Bennett Lane reds are listed
among the "Great California Cabernets" in
Wine Spectator's November Cabernet Issue. The Primus
Reserve Cab is among the top 10 of the year and the
2003 Maximus is a top value. Our limited release Napa
Valley white wines are garnering praise and attention
as well, with our 2005 White Maximus receiving 90
Points in the Wine Spectator. We
are proud to announce the release of our latest vintage
of Cabernet, with our 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon and
Primus Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon. With all of the
accolades of their predecessors, these new releases
from Bennett Lane will be in high demand. |
