Mason Cellars is a family owned and operated winery,
founded in l993 by winemaker Randy Mason and his wife,
Megan in Oakville, California. Following 20 years
of winemaking and vineyard management for other distinguished
Napa Valley wineries, such as Chappellet, Lakespring
and Napa Wine Company, they decided to launch their
own wine label – MASON CELLARS.

Coinciding with the starting of their
label, Randy assisted with the start –up of
Napa Wine Company, a custom crush winery facility
in Oakville. At Napa Wine Company Randy served as
C.E.O., General Manager and Winemaker over the course
of the next nine years. It is here that Randy also
makes their Mason wines.
The Mason’s vision is to create
high quality wine that is consumer friendly, ready
to drink and available at a fair market price.
After years of greeting customers
and friends within a tasting collective, the Mason’s
longed to showcase their wines in a casual atmosphere
all their own. Thus the opening of their Mason Cellars
Oxbox Tasting Room in downtown Napa in the winter
of 2006.
A
native of San Rafael, Randy attended U.C. Davis and
received his degree in Fermentation Science. Randy
and Megan reside in Yountville with their youngest
daughter, Olivia while their middle daughter, Ashley
joins them in working at Mason Cellars and their oldest
daughter Rebecca, resides in Montana.
