Napa Valley | Grappa

What is Grappa?
Grappa, literally translated, means "grape stalk". It's a distilled beverage made from the stalk, seeds, and stems that are left-over from the winemaking process. It can be anywhere from 30%-65% alcohol but what we see today is typically 40-45%. It's normally dry and served after the meal to "aid digestion" but some makers will add syrup to sweeten the flavor and the sweeter Grappas have become popular in America.
