| What is Sangiovese? |

| Sangiovese is an Italian red grape wine. It can be used in varietal wines, but it's most famous as a component of Chianti as well as other wines such as Carmignano, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano and Morellino di Scansano. It's an older variety, well known by the 16th Century. |

Vincent Arroyo Winery produces over 6,000 cases from estate vineyards. Every year we make Chardonnay, Cabernet, Petite Sirah, Merlot, Sangiovese and a couple red blends – in fact, our dog even makes a wine! We consider Petite Sirah to be our signature wine, and develop those vineyards into several different bottlings . . .
Approximately 20 acres of vines were planted on Winston Hill starting in1991. Cabernet Sauvignon is the primary variety, along with small amounts of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Sangiovese.
