What is Sangiovese?
Sangiovese is an Italian red grape wine. It can be used in varietal wines, but it's most famous as a component of Chianti as well as other wines such as Carmignano, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano and Morellino di Scansano. It's an older variety, well known by the 16th Century.
