| Semillon is a white wine varietal that originated in the Bordeaux region of France. Years ago, it was one of the most widely planted varieties, but it has fallen out of favor. Once covering over 90 percent of South Africa's vineyards, it now accounts for only 1 percent of South African cape vines. |
