Constructed in 1868, this brick building is among several historic brick structures built in Yountville that are still in existence. It was originally constructed as a depot by the Napa Valley Railroad Company for the transport of building materials, passengers, and agricultural products up and down the valley. When the Southern Pacific Railroad took over the rails and constructed the new depot, the new building served countless other business in Yountville as the old depot for years. Over time, the old depot housed several grocery stores, the Yountville Telephone Exchange (Mid-1930’s), a barbershop, the Cash ‘n’ Carry Grocery (1946), the Vintage Café, and finally, the Pacific Blues Café. |
