Deep within breath-taking Napa Valley lies a paradoxical appellation known as Yountville which centers around a small town by the same name. Only recognized as an appellation since 1998, one would nearly overlook Yountville as an “upstart” if not for the knowledge of the long history of winemaking. George Yount planted the first grape vines here in 1836.
